Guidance for Children, Adolescents, and Parents
Children and adolescents can become stuck for many different reasons: tension at home, school pressure, social difficulties, sensory sensitivity, or inner restlessness.
Sometimes this expresses itself in behavior. Sometimes, instead, in withdrawal.
We offer psychological guidance for young people, with attention to:
- emotional development
- anxiety or mood-related complaints
- neurodivergence (such as ADHD, autism, and giftedness)
- psychosomatic complaints
We work from a perspective in which neurodevelopmental differences, such as autism, ADHD, or giftedness, are seen as a natural and valuable part of human neurological diversity. We work together to find attunement between the child, their parents, and their environment. We help parents to better understand the unique brain of their child and how they can build positive environments to support their child's needs, strengths, and well-being.
Together with parents
Parents are an essential part of the process. Where appropriate, we actively involve them so that insights can also take root at home.
We look at:
- the child
- the family system
- the school context
- the parents’ capacity and resilience
Treatment is tailored to the child’s age, developmental stage, and needs.
The goal is not only symptom reduction, but strengthening resilience and self-confidence.
